2. Information we collect
- Contact and enquiry information, including your name, email address, telephone number, organisation and message.
- Project and service information that you choose to provide when requesting or receiving surveying or engineering services.
- Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps and server logs.
- Cookie choices and consent records.
Please do not submit special-category or highly confidential information through the general contact form unless we have specifically asked for it and agreed a secure method.
3. Why we use information and our lawful bases

We do not currently carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Website tools
The coordinate and surveying calculators currently operate in your browser. Coordinates entered into these tools are not intentionally sent to us unless a tool clearly states otherwise or you separately send the results to us. Avoid entering confidential project data on a shared device.
5. Who receives information
We may use carefully selected service providers for website hosting, security, email delivery, backups and professional support. They may process information only as needed to provide their services and under appropriate contractual and security obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law, to professional advisers, or in connection with legal claims.
Social-media or other third-party embedded content is blocked until the relevant consent is given where required. If enabled, the third party may receive technical information under its own privacy terms.
6. International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we require an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/addendum, together with appropriate safeguards.
7. How long we keep information
- General enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Client, project, contract, invoice and tax records: normally up to seven years after the relevant relationship or transaction, where needed for legal, tax or claims purposes.
- Routine server and security logs: normally up to 90 days, unless a longer period is needed to investigate an incident.
- Cookie-consent records: for the period necessary to demonstrate and manage your choices.
We may retain information longer where required by law, an active dispute, professional obligations or a security investigation.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, object to processing, receive portable data and withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to that processing. We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or need the information for legal claims.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissionerâs Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
10. Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Our website and professional services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect childrenâs data through the website.
11. Future subscriptions and payments
If paid subscriptions are introduced, we will update this notice before launch to identify the payment and subscription providers, information processed, lawful bases, retention periods and any relevant international transfers. Payment-card details will be handled by the appointed payment provider and will not be stored directly on this website unless expressly stated.

We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The current version and revision date will always appear on this page.
