Planning your CAD drawing service
Which file formats can you provide?
Typical outputs include DWG, DXF, PDF and CSV schedules. Other formats should be discussed before work begins so compatibility can be confirmed.
Can you create drawings from old PDF plans?
Existing PDFs can often be used as reference information, but their scale, accuracy and revision status must be checked. Where accuracy is critical, current measured data may also be required.
Do you provide the site survey as well as the CAD drawing?
Yes. Surveying and CAD drafting can be combined into one defined package for topographic, measured or as-built information.
Can you make revisions after the first issue?
Yes. The quotation should define the review process and included revisions. Additional design changes or expanded scope can be priced separately.
How quickly will the drawings be delivered?
Delivery depends on the drawing complexity, quality of the source data, required checks and current workload. A realistic issue date is agreed after the information has been reviewed.
